General Expectations

 

This is a constantly changing situation. Outer Island Adventures remains committed to adjusting our safety procedures as new information becomes available. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding and look forward to seeing you on the water!

 

Currently we are loading our vessels to 50% of seating capacity on public excursions. Due to  limited seating we recommend booking charters and excursions in advance.

 

  • The state of Washington currently requires the use of face masks and/or other facial coverings in public, both indoors and outdoors, for anyone age 5 and older.
    •  
    • Face coverings must completely cover both mouth and nose. 
    •  
    • The only time they may be removed is if you are eating or drinking while seated at least 6 feet from others. 
    •  
    • Outer Island Excursions is required by law to enforce this requirement to operate tours. 
  •  
  • Passengers with existing reservations that feel unwell, who are considered high-risk, or who aren’t quite ready to join us yet can and should reschedule for a later date.  We have a very flexible cancellation policy and are happy to work with all guests impacted by changes related to COVID-19.

  • Guests that join us on a tour must agree to follow the directions of crew members and be respectful of other visitors and their personal space.

  • Guests that join us on a tour must not being showing symptoms of Covid-19, must not have been exposed to anyone diagnosed with Covid-19, and/or have received a positive Covid-19 diagnosis.

  • To make a reservation, guests must acknowledge the suspension of our whale guarantee, our cancellation policy, and new COVID-19 requirements. 

 

Boarding

  •  
  • Guests need only their last name to board.  Please do not present your confirmation emails, they will not be collected.  
  •  
  • Check In begins a half hour prior to your scheduled tour.  Please avoid congregating in large groups around the office.
  •  
  • If you arrive prior to your scheduled boarding time, we ask that you please enjoy a walk or remain in your car.
  •  
  • If more than one group is waiting to board, we ask that guests maintain 6 feet of distance from the parties in front of or behind them.
  •  
  • Each group will have their own designated seating.  Please limit moving excessively about the boat during your tour.  
  • We ask for our guests’ cooperation in making sure to sanitize their hands after using the onboard facilities.  
  •  
  • We are currently unable to issue binoculars for guests to borrow.  Please feel free to bring your own.  
  •  
  • Crew members will sanitize the boat prior to the the tour and provide sanitizer to guests as needed.  
  •  
  • Eating or drinking is permitted when you are seated and separated from others by at least 6 feet.

  • Once the trip returns to the dock we ask that guests be patient and exit the boat giving the individual groups at least 6 feet of distance
