Orca Only Tour

One of our newest tours, our Orca Only tour in 2023 and 2024 was a huge success with sightings on almost every trip we sent out over the course of the whole season from May to September, successfully observing Orcas on over 95% of our trips!

We Guarantee Orcas on this trip because we have the fastest boats, the most experienced Captains and Naturalists, and on this special tour we allocate extra time just in case the whales are further away than usual.

THIS GIVES YOU THE BEST POSSIBLE CHANCE OF SEEING WILD ORCAS IN THE WORLD!

Departing from Orcas Island and Anacortes in the heart of the San Juans, we can travel deep into Canadian waters on our quest for Orcas. Some trips have been all the way to Nanaimo in British Columbia to see Killer Whales!

ORCAS!!!

On this exclusive experience we head out for an encounter with the region's Biggs Killer Whales. This Orca ecotype has a thriving and healthy population and can be found year-round in the San Juan Islands. They are incredible to watch and can move up 100 miles in a single day. We use the fastest boats in our fleet and extend our tour time allocation to consistently locate them. While our focus will be on finding the killer whales, we often encounter plenty of other wildlife along the way. Tours are between 3 and 5 hours. We shoot for 45 min or more with the Orca. Remember your Camera!

PACIFIC WHALE
WATCH ASSOCIATION

We are proud members of the Pacific Whale Watch Association. This means we contribute to conservation and research on the whales and wildlife of our region. It also gains us special access to all the latest whale sightings reports from our community of whale watchers, researchers, and sometimes even sightings from the air and shore! It also helps us report our individual efforts from picking up ocean litter to sighting injured whales. All our reports reach the local researchers and conservation groups instantly!

As members we operate tours that are respectful of wildlife as well as fun and exciting! Our high-speed boats get us to the whales faster, then we can spend more time with whales as we slow down to enjoy viewing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

@TrevorDerie

This was a once in a lifetime experience. They knew exactly where to go to find orcas and went the extra distance to get us there. We saw 8 orcas playing, listened to them on the hydrophone, and our guides (davina and chad?) were amazing
