Today was one of those days! Some days the whales are right in the islands - a short trip out of the marina and alas! Whales! Today was the other kind of day. Our first report came in of whales near Vancouver, Canada, up north. We were delighted to find T019 and T019B hunting with the T049A's, even though it was a long trip up there and back.
By the time we made it back to port and reloaded for our second trip of the day, our orca friends near Vancouver had moved much farther north and out of our range. Then we got word that more had been sighted - by Victoria. So we then made an equally long trip down south! There we found the T060's just off the shore of the city of Victoria, Canada.
Simply put, we go where the whales are! Today just happened to be one of those days where it took a bit of a haul out there to find them - but it was absolutely worth it! Plus, who doesn't love a trip to Canada? :)
