It was a great day for the Blackfish 3 crew as we set sail towards Stuart Island and the Turn Point Lighthouse. Just along the east side of Stuart we began to follow the pod and not too long after we noticed a very small calf traveling alongside T49A Nan. At just two weeks old, it was a great pleasure to witness the calf traveling along with family on our rainy Washington day. After hanging out with the pod we decided to travel to Sucia Island and watch the ever hilarious Stellar Sea Lions that hang out on the rocks sunbathing and arguing. We finished off our trip observing a Bald Eagles nest with its residents hanging out inside and then headed back to our marina. Another successful day on the Salish Sea. Cheers!
