Today I spent my Saturday hanging out with the T123s as they hunted north of Orcas Island.
On this morning’s whale watch we saw the pod of Transient Orcas hunt down a Harbor Seal. The seagulls were even treated after that hunt to all the crumbs the Orcas left behind.
This afternoon I had a new experience as we watched the Orcas hunt a Harbor Porpoise. They were so excited about what they caught that they spent the rest of our time with them jumping around, spy hopping, and slapping their tales. It was hard to tell if we were more excited or the whales were.
