The Humpback whales are trickling in! In fact, the first Humpback was reported to arrive in Maui last week! An early bird on the migratory path! Meanwhile, here in the Salish Sea we are enjoying the regular arrivals that come hand in hand with the arrival of Fall.
We also saw Steller's Sea Lions, harbor seals, harbor porpoises and caught a rare sighting of a Brown Pelican!
Come join us for the turn of the season! As we head into Fall and many marine mammals and pelagic birds get deep into their migrations we experience a very fun change in our encounters. Killer whales are here year-round, but we didn't see any today!
